Onsite GuidelinesHelping your traineesIf possible try to treat the course delegates as if they are off-site. They will learn better if they are free from interruptions and the pressures of their normal job roles.Hours and refreshment breaksIf you have preferred times for the course to run and times for refreshments then please let us know prior to the course or let the tutor know at the beginning of the week. It is helpful if you can arrange refreshments and lunch, whether this is at your canteen or delivered by caterers, as this can help the smooth flow of the course.Suggestions for the training room (Practical courses)Where possible, our preferences for the training room you provide are:
General training equipmentThe tutor will bring everything he requires to run the course (e.g. data projector and PC, screen, flip chart) although if any of these items are resident/available in the room being used then that can be helpful.Technical EquipmentThe tutor will bring all the fibre optics/copper equipment he requires to run the course (unless otherwise arranged with you). However, if you have your own equipment (e.g. OTDR, fusion splicer) which you can make available for the course then this is useful as it means that the training can be carried out on the equipment which the delegates will be using later. If you will be doing this could you please let us know in advance and give us details of what makes/models will be provided ? thank you.Security arrangementsPlease advise us if there are any special security arrangements, a need for identification, safety procedures etc. or you require specific information prior to the date of the course.Start-time - setting up the courseUnless otherwise arranged with you, your tutor will arrive at about 8.30am in order to prepare for a 9.30am start. Please advise us of any difficulties we may have in/arrangements to be made for parking close to your premises in order to unload/load the van.Local ContactWe request that you appoint someone as the contact for the trainer and provide us with a name and contact phone number for them. This person would be the trainers first point of contact for any issues arising, including parking, unloading, unusual manual handling issues (e.g. large cabinets for specific practical courses) and any health and safety issues. If you have any queries then do call us on +44 (0)1756 797155 to discuss them. |
