Liverpool is one of the UK's oldest Airports, situated seven miles south east of Liverpool city centre and adjacent to the river Mersey. In recent years Liverpool John Lennon airport has been one of Europe's fastest growing airports, having increased it's annual passenger numbers from 875,000 in 1998 to 5.52 million in 2007.
The airport is approx. 8 miles and a 25 minute drive from the training venue in the Albert Dock.

You can get to Liverpool from Manchester airport by train or by hiring a car. It is approx 36 miles and 3/4 hour car journey from Manchester airport to the Albert Dock in Liverpool/
You can catch a train from Manchester airport to Liverpool James Street station which is the closest station to the Albert Dock.
