Geoff Crossley, Technical Director of CrossConnect Training has a long history of working with OTT, including many years as a full time employee and as a freelance trainer. CrossConnect Training offer years of experience in delivering high quality training and lots of real world experience in the design, specification, installation and testing of optical fibres, including experience in a number of specialist areas such as ships, submarines, remote operated vehicles, broadcasting, data centres and security networks. Fiber Insight specializes in training and consulting for fiber optic characterization and network testing. Co-owner, Tim Yount, holds a Certified Fiber Characterization Engineer (CFCE) certification from OTT and is the principal trainer at Fiber Insight as well as the trainer for Viavi Solutions when they run the OTT CFCE program in North America. He has over 25 years of experience in fiber network testing and deployment, and is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE). He has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has participated in standards committees at Telecom Industry Association (TIA) and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Council. Fiber Insight are licenced to run the Certified Fibre Characterisation Engineer (CFCE) course and the Certified Optical Network Associate (CONA) certification course in the USA and Canada.

Oman Fiber Optic Co. S.A.O.G. (OFO) uses state of the art technology to draw fiber and manufacture world class fiber cable products in the Sultanate of Oman. OFO provides fiber and cable solutions (such as for long haul backbone communication links, LAN networks, video transmission, cable TV, traffic signaling etc.) and Telecommunications Solutions (including RF Planning, Network Design, Network Implementation, Solar Energy Solution Design and Deployment etc.). Oman Fiber Optic have opened a brand-new, purpose-built training centre at their factory in Muscat. OFO will deliver several OTT certifications under licence from OTT, including COFI Enterprise, COFI Core, and CONA. Initially the focus will be on rolling out the training programmes to OFO’s internal staff in their Outside Plant and Telecoms Services Divisions, as well as to OFO’s clients in the region. This initiative complements OFO’s world class optical fibre and cable manufacturing capabilities to establish OFO as a regional centre of excellence in fibre optic technology.

They offer the CONA (Certified Optical Network Associate) course in Nigeria and eastern Africa.Ahmed Atere, MEED Networks COO, attended a special train the trainer programme in the UK to be licensed as a trainer to deliver the course.
